  • > Welcome

Greetings and welcome to the Trashcat website. Well it has been an eventful summer here in London. We got back from playing the Monteparadiso Festival in Pula, Croatia to find London’s streets full of cops with riots spreading up and down the country. Not surprising considering the one law for them culture coupled with ever increasing consumerism and social inequality. To the establishment we say ignore at your own peril.

  • > Tour is over! Thank you all !

Trashcat would like to thank all the promoters, venues and people who came to see us on our european tour. Stinging caterpillars, wasps and lack of sat-nav could not stop the trashcat party. We had a great time everywhere. We got back tired but thoroughly good.

This weekend we are off to play a Tattoo festival in Cobh, Co. Cork IRL. Looking forward to the murphys and some buzzing tattoo gun pain. With slight passport worries we say, bring it on !

  • > Time to get the shots in !

Our new CD finally arrived hot off the pressing plant today. The new album will be available for this weekend only before we go on tour. Normal service to be resumed for our merch on or after May 31st.

  • > Album News

We are pleased to annouce that the artwork and master have finally been submitted to the pressing plant. Fingers crossed it will be ready and delivered for our CD launch party for May 7th at The Royal Sovereign pub in Clapton. The front cover was drawn by Itxi. Known for her extraordinary art skills. We'd like to thank her a thousand times for rendition of the album's title - Living in the city. The cover will also be the same design for our new T shirts. Available here after may 7th, or alternatively on tour in europe.

The new album will have nine brand new tracks. The songs have themes upon our usual nocturnal pastimes. However for the more serious minded there are some that centre on social and political comment as well. The songs have musical influences not just from punk rock, but include touches of ska, reggae, country and even a little hip hop.

The CD is accompanied by two video promos. We don't owe you nothing, currently available to view on You Tube. The second is Mindblow, which will be re-posted on You Tube in the near future.

The album will be available to buy from us here direct - post may 7th. Alternatively it will be available to buy from All Ages record shop in Camden from 11th May. We will keep you informed here if there is any unforeseen delay

  • > CD Launch Party

Flyer cd release party Our CD Launch Party is taking place at The Royal Sovereign, Northwold Road, E5 on 7th May 2011. It should be a great night, with confirmed support by our friends The Restarts and guest djing by Ollinana. The gig is FREE and is on our very own Hackney turf. The pub is a great friendly boozer and has good beer on tap and a great beer garden out back.

The artwork is also coming along and like our debut, Too Much Ain't Enough we have again enlisted the amazing artistic talents of Itxi. Most of you may know her as the respective sweetheart and other half of punk rocks favourite couple, Robin & Itxi. We are very pleased indeed and her artwork it will be the cover and t- shirt design for our new album.

Complimentary to the new CD we have posted our Nothing video on You Tube. Shot on a diet of several 'six for a fiver' beer and cider runs it is viewable here on our video page or alternatively on You Tube. In addition we are about to post another new video from the new album. 'Mindblow' like Nothing was shot and edited with aid of our good friends Wys and Iggy. We would like to thank them very much for their time, skills and patience. Also in the pre-production stage is a third video promo planned for the title song of our new album 'Living In The City'. This time our good comrade and ally Yarek from Meinhoff has agreed to shoot and edit the promo. We look forward to letting you know of its progress....

As always we welcome gig offers and are keen to play as many festivals this summer. If you would like to contact us about gigs or do an interview for your zine or magazine please feel free to contact us here at email@trashcat.co.uk

  • > Album News

Trashcat are a 100% DIY Punk Rock operation and we are currently mixing the new songs with the help of our good friend and proficient sound impressario Carlito. Some of you may have seen him on stage with us when he did a one off performance with us on keyboards at the Ratstar Squat in Camberwell for the final day of Winterfest 2010. The album should have nine new songs and it took us alot of booze and mayhem in order to make it.
